Quetico Provincial Park Rules and Regulations
Moose Track Adventures Outfitters and Guide Service
Ely, MN

The following rules apply for all reservations:

  • Multiple reservations in the same name for the same time period are not allowed. Reservations must be made in the name of the person who is arriving to pick up the camping permit. Reservations cannot be assigned from one person to another person at the time of arrival; this is contrary to the Provincial Parks Act. If a name change is required, please contact 1-888-668-7275, the $9.00 change fee will be applicable for this service. This policy does not apply to Interior/Backcountry reservations made for Quetico Prov. Park where party leader name and second contact name cannot be changed.
  • There is a NON-REFUNDABLE fee of $12.00 for each reservation made, which is payable at the time your reservation is confirmed.
  • Bookings will be accepted up to 5 months in advance of your arrival, which means campers can call on November 1, 2005 to make a reservation for April 1, 2006, or for example February 1, 2006 for July 1, 2006.
  • Payment by Visa, MasterCard, Amex, cheque or money orders; for Internet Reservations, payment by Visa, MasterCard or Amex only.
  • Canadian cheques and money orders must be in Canadian funds. Cheques drawn on US banks will be deposited in US funds; please calculate the currency exchange prior to issuing the cheque. NSF/cancelled cheques will void your reservation immediately and subject to a $35.00 administration fee.
  • Cheques and money orders must be received within 14 days of making your reservation to confirm your campsite, and at least 21 days prior to your arrival date for cheques and 10 days prior to your arrival date for money orders. Your campsite cannot be guaranteed until your payment arrives. There is a chance that your specific site will be changed to another site. Mail cheques and money orders for confirmed reservations to:

  • To cancel or change a reservation, call 1-888-ONT-PARK (668-7275).  For those users who have made internet reservations, cancellations only can be made online at www.ontarioparks.com.  For cancellations or to shorten your stay a penalty (10-50%) will be charged based on how long your reservation has been held or a minimum penalty of $9.00 will be charged.  For example, if your reservation has been held for 1 month or less, a penalty of 10% will apply, more than 1 month up to 2 months - 20%, more than 2 months up to 3 months - 30%, etc. to a maximum of 50%.
  • All 72 parks that offer reservations also offer some campsites on a first-come, first served basis. There are another 20 provincial parks that accept campers on a first-come, first-served basis only. For an updated campground vacancy report, call 1- 800-ONTARIO (668-2746) during July and August or visit the Ontario Parks website (www.OntarioParks.com).
  • The fee for one vehicle is included in your campsite permit - all other vehicles must purchase an "Additional Vehicle Permit" at the time of registration.
